This is not a post about race. It is a post about the beautiful minds of kids, the blessings, and life’s rewards.
We have four kids. The comments they make every day keep my wife and me on our toes at all times.
Today leaving for work, all the kids are saying their goodbyes. Like they always do. “Bye Dad, have a great day”
Luca, my three-year-old, looks at me and says “Bye white-man”. It caught us all off guard and we had a great morning laugh. (Luca is not white) The innocence and unique perspective children have on the world, irrespective of race or color.
Luca was adopted from El Paso, Texas. Weighing in at a crazy weight of 1 lb, he was born at 24 weeks and stayed in the NICU for over three months. He is a miracle baby. God is great."
The first two years of Luca’s life were incredibly hard and taxing on our family. I wouldn’t trade those months in the NICU and the health scares for anything. Those times made our family closer, and more resilient.
Luca is healthy, big, and loves making everyone laugh. Children are amazing.

John 1:4
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
